Momena Regained a New Life
Momena married when she was 14 years old. She had fistula due to prolonged labor in her first pregnancy. The poor knowledge of safe pregnancy and poverty made her pregnancy life very difficult. When she was seen by a health care provider of LAMB she had been suffering from fistula for 17 years. For treatment, she visited various hospitals in Rajshahi, Sirajganj and Bogra Districts and took treatment and spent about 80 thousand taka but could not recover. All the family members and neighbour’s left her except the husband; no one came near her.
Momena said, “By the grace of Allah, I came to know about LAMB Hospital and with their help I was cured.” She also linked with local government to get VGF support (Vulnerable Group Feeding ) to run her family. Now, they have adopted a daughter. The family is passing their days gracefully, everyday praising and thanking God for all those who supported her medical care.
