Staff
LAMB Training Centre has 19 staff, of whom 12 are trainers with excellent facilitation and training skills. The remainder are involved in the administration or in the provision of residential accommodation service.
The quality of LAMB training is high. The TC trainers have an enormous amount of training experience, with some individuals having more than twenty five years experience in the health training field. Community Skilled Birth Attendant trainers are certified master trainers by the Bangladesh Nursing Council.
The skilled training resource available at LAMB is however much larger than the department team. LAMB Hospital staff and other specialists are also involved in the delivery of training, bringing a high level of up-to-date expertise.
LAMB has the additional advantage of being able to provide training with international standards. There are typically 25-30 expert foreign staff on site, and these are able to bring the experience of international standards and practices to LAMB and to its training. LAMB also often has available experts visiting short term from overseas.
The on-site availability of the Hospital makes it possible to integrate fully both classroom and practical experience. Practical experience is also under experienced training supervision.
