Administration
The Administration Department provides financial and management support services to the project.
Finance Department
LAMB annual budget is approximately US$ 2.5 million, BDT 20 crore, £ 1.5 million. The finance information system is computerized. The department produces all sorts of financial reports including Budget by Month (BBM) for monitoring and evaluation.
Human Resources Department
The Human Resources department works in the following areas:
- Maintaining personnel information
- Personnel reporting – national and expatriates for in house and government use
- Recruitment process and new staff orientation
- Project policies’ clarification
Public Relations
A small group work to maintain good local relationships with residents, government health officials, elected representatives, hospital visitors, etc. They attend coordination meetings with government and other non-government staff at District, Sub-District (Upazilla), and Union levels. They organize many functions at LAMB and participate in local rallies and other public events representing LAMB. Press releases, calendars, newsletters, annual reports, brochures and other media materials are produced. They also contribute to LAMB’s responsive local engagement through occasional involvement in conflict resolution.
IT
LAMB currently has more than 100 desktops and laptops. Though a remote area, the IT team is able to maintain all these computers and the organizational network. IT helps each department not only with information and communication but also reduces the use of paper.
